Day 7

getting guttural
and
rolling those r's

I am practicing with someone named Claire who obviously knows what she's doing
the funny thing is I was taking this seriously
until I heard myself that last time
[I'm the one making the 2nd last disgusting sound attempt at saying frère]

NOTE: It got worse when we were saying brother & sister frère et sœur and sœur et  frère

Also - by way of explaining myself, when he says, after that rather pregnant pause, "It is quite complicated ...", I took it to mean give it everything you've got

Day 6

something you may never (want to) know is how long it actually took me to say
"comment vous appelez-vous?"

AKA
what is your name?
(seriously - who would have thought I could get it wrong in so many different ways
at one point I thought I was going to fall off my chair laughing)

Day 3

This is a learn in your car audiotape - I'm sitting up in bed with a coffee.
There is no way driving and learning French would be safe for me to do!
well DUH just realized this is level TWO
no wonder there are no written words
and I can't figure it out
... off I go to find
what I said
heheh

I said
&
it means
ils vont tomber
they are going to fall

and now me talking to myself
"well that wasn't too too bad given I was given no clues ahead of time"
unless 'lesson 45, infinitive verb forms' was it
missed the part on simple future infinitive
... so WOAH
back up
(lucky I'm not driving)
